Question
Is it true that when a rabbit (in its natural environment) is pregnant and it does not feel safe  or there is imminent danger within its environment, that it  will naturally abort its pregnancy?

Answer
I don't find any reference to that, but if the mother is malnourished or dehydrated, she will likely reasorb the fetuses.  There was mention made of stress also causing this.

She does not abort, but absorbs the tissue back into her own body.
