Rabbit has no/very small whiskers

Question
Hi,
We recently added a new rabbit to our family. We got this rabbit from a friend. It is a female rex and is around 3 years old. When we brought the rabbit home, we noticed it has no whiskers. It has small feathery hairs, but they could hardly be called whiskers..... our rabbits seems to be fine, but we thought we would make sure.
Thanks!

Answer
Dear Samantha,

Rex rabbits have extremely short, wiry whiskers that are hard and coarse.  But they are *very* short.  It's possible your bunny has shed them, and will re-grow them in your care.

Good luck!
