lost houserabbit showed up in my yard!

hi,
just a moment ago a healthy looking, very tame bunny hopped into my yard.  it looks full grown but lean and strong.  it started eating  weeds in my yard so i slowly crouched down and offered my hand.  it sniffed me and then lowered it's head and offered to let me pet it.  super sweet animal.  it's probably a neighbors but no one is out looking for a lost pet as of yet.  how should i accomodate the lil' bunny foo foo until the owner surfaces?  should i be concerned about this bunny transmitting any diseases to my puppy?  to me?  thank you very much for any help in this matter.

There's information at http://www.rabbit.org/care/new-bunny-index.html on diet and such that you may find useful.  If you can get him or her in the house that would be safer for the rabbit.

The only thing your rabbit could transmit would be fleas, and if you don't see any on him or her then that's not a problem.

I hope you are able to find the owner, or at least a nice new home!
