My rabbit, Bert. Why is he circling me?

Question
Hi,

My rabbit Bert is an indoor rabbit. I am curious to find out why he acts the way he does. Whenever i stand up he will come over and do 'circles' around my legs like he's playing a game. He will also then follow me around my house.
what does this mean?

thanks, Amy

Answer
Dear Amy,

Circling and soft buzzing are a bunny's way of saying he's in love with you.  And, more specifically, is even aroused by you.  It's cute until he starts humping your leg.  But if he doesn't start that, then it's just plain old affection and attraction he has for you.

Neutering will stop the circling and also curb other objectionable, hormone-related behaviors.  Please see:

and find a good rabbit vet here:

I hope this helps.
