Dwarf rabbits who bite

Question
Last week I bought a dwarf rabbit for my son. At first he was really tame and loved to be held. Now when we let him out for "free" running time in the house, he'll bite when we pick him up to put him out on the floor. I was laying on the floor with my face closer to the ground so he could smell me and get used to me but today he came up to me sniffed me like usual only this time he bit my nose. Why is he becoming this way?

Answer
How old is the rabbit?  If he is about 4-6 months old he may becoming hormonal, in which case bunnies do start to bite, growl, lunge, spray, and other undesirable behaviors.  You can stop these by neutering the rabbit.

You can find more information about this at http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html

If that is not the case, then he has decided to become aggressive for some reason, and you can find more information about that at http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/aggression.html
