Revolution treatment

Question
Hi there, hoping you can help. I have read many sites including this one regarding using Revolution for the treatment of fleas and mites on rabbits. My issue is I haven't been able to work out whether I am suppose to use the one for cats or the one for dogs. I have come across one that is for both puppies and kittens and thought this would be best to use on dwarf rabbits. Would I be correct here. Also when I first bought my female I rang around to vets inquiring about desexing her. Most replied that there were risks of the rabbit dying so I put it off. Now I am concerned that I have done the wrong thing as your site mentioned an 80% chance of her developing cancer. Is it too late to now she is 3years old. Many thanks for you time Gail

Answer
If she weighs less than 5 pounds, it would be the puppy and kitten one.  If she weighs more than 5 pounds, use the cat version.

You can also use Advantage, just don't use Frontline, that is lethal to rabbits.

If you can find a vet who regularly does rabbits spays, the risk of her dying under anesthetic is extremely low.  I had one spayed at 8 years of age, so 3 isn't too old at all.
