Black Wart looking growth

Hi!
I forgot one other question! I have a Buck that developed a black wart looking growth real close to  his left eye to the side of it. It is about the size of a quarter. I figure just guessing it is some kind of virus that caused this but i don't know. Do you know cause, treatment and if it is contagious?

A large, black growth could be a melanoma, a serious type of skin cancer that can spread to the respiratory and nervous systems.  The only way to know for sure what this is would be to have a good rabbit vet biopsy the lesion and send it off for histpathology.  You can find a good vet here:
