growth on rabbits dewlap

Question
Hello!

I have a 6 year old female dwarf rabbit that has a growth on her dewlap, or slightly above it.  It's pinkish, hard, and she doesn't seem to have any feeling in it.  Her behavior has not changed.  It's pretty new, and about the size of a large marble.  Sadly, she is not fixed.

Of course I'll get her to a vet, but do you have any idea what it is?  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Bethany,

Well it is really hard to tell without a vet looking at it.  Hopefully it is just an abscess.  Yes they are hard to fix but they are fixable.  There is always the chance it is cancer but I wouldn't worry about it until you get her to the vet.  Obviously you are going to want to get her in as soon as possible.  Make sure to keep her dewlap clean and dry.

Wish I could be more help.  I am pretty sure this is what you have already concluded.
