Grass Stains

Hello Lee,
My rabbits are getting grass stains on all four paws. How do you wash it off?

Hi Phoebe,

I normally don't have to wash anything off a rabbit's paws.  I would suggest a damp washcloth and rubbing that on the bottom of their paws.  I wouldn't try any kind of soaps or chemicals.

Other than that, what I have always done is simply let it naturally wear off.  I had one little guy who loved digging in newspaper and would get his paws black.  I switched the paper to cut up grocery bags and within a week his paws were white again.  

You'd basically have to not let them on the grass for a period of time until they were 'cleaned'.
