Question
Hi, my 3 yo house rabbit lives happily in our kitchen and has full use of a big back garden where she usually does all her bathroom stuff and rarly did she have a accident but for the past three weeks she has taken to peeing on our sofa almost everynight! i usually was the covers in the washing matchine and ive even tried putting a bin liner over the sofa to defer her but she still pulls that up and pees freely! She has never needed a litter tray before as she always went out, why has she started doing this now and how can i stop her? (its usually overnight she does this)?thanks a million

Answer
Hi Clare,

you will have to examine what changed in your routine three weeks ago.  Most likely she is doing this because of a change in routine, or something you have started to do since then.

The solution right now is to put a litterpan down.  Get a nice big rectangular one, and use Yesterday's News recycled paper pellets or wood fuel stove pellets.  both are very absorbent and very safe for her.
