Question
hi,
our rex female has given birth to babies 6 we think we are not sure when as we suspected she was pregnant so we left her bedroom part of the cage well alone for the past few days, we we had a peep today and saw the nest we had a quick peep inside to see if all was ok but we didn't touch any babies, how big are they normally when they are born? and could there be more than 6?

Answer
Size of baby rabbits varies, but usually rex babies are around thumb length. There could be more than 6. As long as she is used to being handled, there should be no issue with you touching them. I have raised many, many litters over the year, and the first thing I always do is pick them up and examine them to make sure they are healthy and to count how many there are.
