Question
My young doe gave birth 2 days ago much to my surprise but now she won't care for them. she tramples them when they are with her. they have been seperated and she does nurse them twice a day I hold her and place the babies to breast,their bellies get very round and usig a cotton ball I rub them till they pee and poop but they are positivly quiet unless they are getting ready to nurse,is any of this normal? I have checked many internet sites and thay say not hearing nose is ok because that means the babies are not hungry,all are moving around and tryi8ng to hopp so I think.Is  there any thing elsde I can doo to help? They are all warm too.,

Domestic rabbits only nurse for about 5 minutes a day, the rest of the time they stay away from the nest.  This is an instinctual behavior, in the wild she does this to keep predators away from the nest.

Fed rabbits will have little round tummies and don't make noise, they will make noise if not fed.
