Question
Hi I rescued a bunny and have had him for about 7 months now lately( for the past month) Ive noticed when i let him out of the cage (once a week) he seems to hop odd his whole body bops and he is always shaking. This has gone on for a while I assumed that since the previous owner was inbreeding that it was a side effect I have his siblings and they arent having this trouble could this be the cause.
He eats and drinks just find and gets along  with the other rabbits just fine. I feed them all kind of vegs and hay and there pellots.

Can you maybe help me with this matter the vet doesnt seem to know whats wrong with him.

Answer
Dear Cris,

It's hard to visualize what you are describing.  Does he move slowly when he wobbles like this?  Does he show particular weakness in the hind limbs?  If so, please read:

If he's running around, jumping and twisting in the air, he may just be doing happy binky dances.  But from your description, I can't tell.

If he was born this way, it could be a congenital problem that isn't treatable.  He'd just be special.  But to be sure, I'd have him examined by a good, experienced rabbit vet:

to be sure it's not some sort of progressive condition (perhaps E. cuniculi) that needs treatment lest it become worse.

I hope this helps.
