baby bun with leg problem

Question
HI about two weeks ago we purchased a mixed breed bun which appeared at the time of purchase to be blind, he had a white cloudy spot on his eye (which I didn'd care) but since then has gone away..Anyway, we noticed that his one leg looked a little weird kind of out to the side but as time as gone by it seems as though it is giving him alittle trouble. It seems to be pushed outward....if I hold him under his front legs and let his hind ones dangle, his one legs looks  pointed outward....When he sits on it it kinda looks stretched out..do you know what it could be?  He stratches himself occassionally with it and is eating fine...just wondering if it could be genetic or broken/dislocated? How can I tell if he is in any discomfort?  Again he has bonded with another baby we bought at the same time and is eating just fine...any help would be appreciated....

Answer
Dear Tricia,

This is something that requires examination by a good rabbit vet:

Without seeing the leg in person, I can't tell if it's a congenital malformation, broken, dislocated, or healed after being damaged.  A good vet can help you, and this should be done ASAP in case the condition is something that needs treatment or stabilization.

It's a good time to get a full wellbunny checkup, too, so you'll have a good rabbit vet with your records in case you ever have an emergency.

Hope this helps.
