 My rabbits all died from myomotosis. And i was just wondering what spreads the myomosis. And can hamster, guniea pigs and gerbils can they catch it?

Dear Rhys,

If you mean myxomatosis, then no, your rodent pets cannot get sick from this virus.  I am very sorry about the loss of your rabbits.  The virus is spread by the bite of insects (particularly mosquitoes), so if you ever have other rabbits, not only must they be vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD by your rabbit vet, they should also be protected against biting insects to minimize exposure, even if they are vaccinated.
