unusual breathing noise

Tonight I noticed my rabbit making and funny noise. Sounds almost like a hick up or some trouble breathing. He is otherwise fine, still grinding teeth when petted, acting coherent. Should I take him to the vets? I aware  about respiratory infections in rabbits and am not sure if this is a sign of one

Hi Keri,

this 'hiccup' sound is what is called "clucking".  Rabbits make this "clucking" sound, that often can sound like a hiccup, when they are extremely happy and content.  Most people don't hear it that often.  They have to really be very, very happy.

So it's a good sound.  Congrats on having such a happy bunny!
