peeing in the bottom of his cage

My rabbit is house-trained, but in the summer, he pees in the bottom of his cage and it gets on his stomach. why is this?

hello oliver

im not really sure why he does that. maybe when the weather is not and he drinks more and may not be able to make it to his litter tray. when he gets wee all on his belly wash it off with some warm water and a little bit of rabbit shampoo as if left on him it will attract insects and may cause fly strike.
