One teary eye

Question
My daughter's 5 month old mini rex has one eye that appears teary.  She's otherwise eating well and has energy, no other apparent symptoms other than the tearing. When we put her down to exercise she sneezes alot but always has....Is this something serious, something to monitor and see if it gets better/worse, etc. I'd appreciate any input - this is our first rabbit experience.

Answer
With the threat of pasturella (commonly known as snuffles) always a risk in rabbits, I treat weapy eyes and noses seriously.  Sneezing is not normal and should be watched carefully.  It could just be an allergy, but it could be an infection and should be checked.

Snuffles can lead to more serious problems like head tilt and can wind up being fatal.  A simple course of an inexpesive antibiotic called Baytril, given in a shot form is a great way to treat and cure snuffles.  I would at least call a vet and get another opinion.
