Questioni just bought a mini rex at the fair for my daughters 4h project next year. she is 3 months old. her nail are really long do we need to cut them?
AnswerYes, you should cut your bunnies nails, and keep them trimmed up ever 4-6 wks. This is fairly easy although if your a beginner it can be nerve racking especially if the rabbit has dark toenails. Using a dog nail trimmer is fine, and make sure to not cut the quick of the nail. It is very much like trimming a dogs nails.
I have linked you a few sites that have some good information on how to trim your rabbit's nails

They offer step by step instructions and other tips to help make the experience better for both you and the rabbit.
Good Luck
