Emergency! Bunny not eating, vet said to let it die.

Question
My rabbit had babies 2/22/10, 6 but 2 died at birth. She didn't build a nest & delivered them all over the floor but it was warm in the house so I pulled a little fur & put the babies in the nestbox (it later got cold in the house & she pulled fur for them). I check every day & 1 seemed to be falling behind, I left it alone because everyone always says NOT to interfere. It was becoming apparent that the poor thing just isn't eating & if I don't help it's going to die. I called my vet & she said "If it's meant to be it will be, leave it & if it dies then it wasn't meant to be" but I just can't. It's maybe 1/3 the size of the others (who are healthy & growing great!) It's wrinkled & tiny, so I called my father in law & asked for his recipe for milk (he's raised babies before) he said use 1/2c canned milk, 1/2c warm water, 1 egg yolk & 1tbsp corn syrup & feed it twice a day until it's stomach is sticking out just a little bit. I got 2 different kitten bottles, one with a small short nipple & one with a long slim nipple, the baby refuses to suckle so I've been feeding it would a syringe. As long as I put the milk in it's mouth it drinks like it's starving! He said to feed it 5-7cc twice a day but he also said that was for a rabbit that will get to 5lb adult size, this is a Flemish Giant & will get to 20lbs adult size, should I feed it more? I'm stimulating it to pee/poop & it does that fine but mom isn't doing it to that baby just the other 3.
The mom doesn't mind me taking it out & putting it back in her nest & she isn't harming it, I just think the baby isn't eating as the others are doing great, is that possible?

I really need help as I know nothing about caring for baby bunnies & everyone is telling me to let it die.

Answer
Dear Tammy,

I hope you can find a vet who will take your bunny seriously as a patient here:

For instructions on how to care for this baby, please read:

Thank you for caring for this baby bunny.   Don't give up!  He may not make it, but if he's eating eagerly, he has a chance.  You are kind and wonderful to care!
If you have time, please let me know how he does.
