Question
"Hi,my name is Angela and i am from buffalo NY  and my bunny is a male that is only 4 months old. He is one of the best pets i have ever had! I was holding him on his back and on his belly where his leg connects to his body...maybe i would call it his groin, the is a tumor like area and its only on one side, and has no hair on it at all. I'm pretty sure that it is way to far up and close to his leg to be testicles. I have looked up many pictures and i cant find any that look like my bunny's tumor like thing. Please help me! Thank You!"

Answer
Dear Angela,

If it is at his groin, it may well be a testicle.  But it concerns me that there is only one.  There should be two.  And if he has an undescended testicle, he needs to have it surgically removed.  Undescended testicles (cryptorchids) can become cancerous, as they are not "designed" (by evolution) to be held at the high temperatures found inside the abdomen.

If this is another type of growth, a tumor or abscess, the vet will be able to determine that.  But I cannot know without seeing this in person or in a very clear picture.

I would get him to a good rabbit vet:

for a checkup and I.D. of the mass, and then you can act accordingly.

Hope this helps.
