I keep finding like a white powery substance where my rabbit goes

Question
I have a satin siamese rabbit. He's 3 months and 7 weeks old now.
The first time I noticed this white like power or chalk was on his soft
bed. Then on my carpet I have seen it after he hops away. And around
by his cage when I was cleaning. I've never owned a rabbit before and
I'm concerned wether this is bad or normal. If you could please help I'd
truly appericate it.

Answer
Hi,

is it where he urinates?  If so he may be getting too much calcium.  They also do not require a salt lick, if he has one remove it.

If you have not yet taken him in to a good rabbit vet yet for his first checkup with you, I would do that as well.

Not every vet is a good rabbit vet.  Start here to find one:

to find a House Rabbit Society recommended vet near you.

You should also find a backup vet, and an emergency vet for weekends and nights if a problem occurs.  Rabbits are very delicate and they can go south on you very quickly.
