Cat broughtb home a wild bunny

Question
Hi, My name is Chrys and I work for an Animal Hospital in Kansas. My cat brought home a small baby bunny tonight. It appears to be ok except for a very small puncture wound from the cat carrying it around. My cat is only 9 months old and was more playing with it than trying to kill it. Anyways, there are no rehabbers close to where I live and I have successfully raised several squirrels but this is my first time with a bunny. I was just wondering if there was anything special that I should use to treat the wound. I have cleaned it with diluted Chlorexidine and used Animax ointment on it for now but I was worried about the Baceria in the cats mouth being to much for just using that. I have Orbax and Amoxidrops here at home that I have for my cats. Also I believe it to be about 3 - 3 and 1/2 weeks old from the pics on the internet sites. Should I be feeding it Kmr and greens or try just feeding greens?
I thank you in advance for any and all help you can provide. I have actually been researching to become a rehabber but they require you to work with a rehabber and the closest one is over 2 hours away, so I have not been able to fit in with my already overly scheduled day. Again thank you so much for your help and your expertise. Chrys

Answer
hi chrys just keep the wound nice and clean using the ointment and it should be fine .
feed it some dry rabbit mix from the pet store and not to much green as this can give it the runs
i also give baby rabbits some bran flakes to chew on and don't forget the water to drink.
Dave.
