Question
how much baby aspirin and how much glucosamine can you give a pig, and how often?

Answer
Weigh the pig or use the measurement method http://www.pigpalssanctuary.com/health/size_weight.htm to determine the weight. You'll need his weight to figure out the correct amount.

Check the dosage guidelines printed on the glucosamine supplement package. Every kind of glucosamine is different. Animal supplements should include a ratio of supplement per pounds of body weight; in other words, it will say something like "give x amount per 100 lbs of body weight". Use that formula to determine how much to give your pig.

For example, if you pig weighs 100 lb, and the glucosamine supplement says "1 cup per 500 lb", then you would divide 500/5 to get 100 (the weight of the pig), and divide 1/5 so a 100 lb pig would get 1/5 cup.

Consult with your vet to determine the proper amount of baby aspirin. Aspirin, even chewable baby aspirin, can cause tummy upset and ulcers.
