Question
QUESTION: Our 10 month old boy, Master Blaster, is itching one eye pretty vigilantly. It's
puffy and red but he allowed us to wash it off with warm water and there
seemed to be little discomort. No load painful squeeling or anything like that.
It seems to have only appeared within the last 8 hours. Any thoughts?

ANSWER:  The pig needs to see a vet.
This is abnormal
Sight,  once lost, cannot be restored.
His itching may damage the cornea.
Good luck,

QUESTION: we are stating with him tonight to make sure he doesn't scratch til we can get
him to the vet tomorow. 2 quick followups... 1. Can pigs get pink eye? Our 3
yr old daughter had it last week. 2. Could this be caused by a scratch or
impact ie a black eye? Thanks so much for the help

Answer
I answered this question, but it has not shown up.
The pig may damage the eye by itching it. If he still is, take him to a vet. He may have something stuck in it, way down.
I apologize for it (my answer) not showing up previously.
Eyes are nothing to fool around with.
Good luck,
Pris
