Question
My husband and I are on the list to rescue farm animals.  A few weeks we were called to take two potbelly pigs, Lulu and Cooper.  We are loving there company but Cooper is giving me a run for my money.  They came from a home that had them in a coop 4x8 and a foot of mud.  They are now on 3acres of land with grass and woods to roam.  Yet the moment I turn my back Cooper crawls under the fence and roams the neighborhood.  He doesn't stay gone too long, he soon comes back and waits by the fence to get in, but I think my neighbors are starting to get a little upset with me.  Any Help....

Answer
You must protect the neighbors from a rooting pig (smile).
Once they get out, pigs will always try to escape.
They are "wanderlusts" and love to explore.
I assume he is neutered, if not this explains it totally.
We suggest an electric  fence or that he be kept in a space where he cannot get out. Dogs will injure a pig, oer worse. You must find a way to contain him. (They CANNOT be put on a rope or chain)
