Question
I have 12 yr old partial blind foster girl on her way . She is an outdoor pig and
shy and possibly over weight. What would the best way to ease her into this
huge change. I have a 6x8 shed set up in a enclosure. what steps do i take to
help make her feel secure. I have a 7 month old indoor PB who is a love bug
and happy. My plans are to keep the  foster child quiet and rested away from
to many new noises and keep her in a low stress enviroment.
Any advice would help..Also she has been fed dog food and table food can i
just put her on PBP food upon arrival???

Answer
Arrrrgh, so many pigs are blinded by people overfeeding them. They get arthritis early and end up walking on their knees, too.

BLESS YOU for taking on this challenge.
She may be fed potbellied pigfeed ASAP. She may not eat it at first, but she will after a few days, trust me. Broadcast the feed so she has to work to find it.

I would keep the other pig away from her with a 30 day quarantine..
worm and innoculate the new pig.
Again, bless you for giving this pig a quality life!

We would love to help (grin)!
