Answer
Pot-bellied pigs tend to gain weight easily on any diet.
The important thing is to find a food that is low in protein (14% or less) and low in fat. Avoid foods with any kind of medication or antibiotic.
There's different kinds of farm pig food, the names in Mexico might be different from the US - Food for babies is called grower, food for nursing moms is sow, food for fattening them up for slaughter is called finisher, food for other pigs is maintenance. Look for the maintenance type of food.
Multi-animal foods work well, as long as they meet the guidelines. Some horse chows work to, but be careful. Do not use "Sweet feed", or any horse feed that includes molasses or sugar beet, these are fattening, high calorie ingredients.
Pigs like to graze and forage, and are healthier when a large part of their diet is natural food. Reduce the amount of processed animal food, and replace it any low calorie, filling, natural food. Lettuce and plain rolled oats have lots of fiber and few calories. Foods like potatoes and carrots are a little higher in calories, but piggies have to chew harder. Pigs enjoy just about any fresh vegetable or fruit, but fruits are high in sugar and nuts are high in fat, so focus on vegetables, plain oats, lettuce, etc.
Continue to give them pig food daily (any pig food is better than none), opportunities to exercise and graze and root, and a variety of fresh vegetables.
