Question
I have the runt from a litter of pigs. I feed her milk that I got from the feed store for baby pigs. (Bottle) she was doing good but now all of a sudden she goes to sleep and we have a very hard time waking her up. I put her with her mom and siblings over night could she have a cold or something. Please help I dont want her to die.

Answer
Baby pigs need warm temperatures, around 80 F or higher. This baby runt may not have got enough warmth from mom and siblings overnight.

Bring baby back inside and warm her up gradually. Wait until she's fully awake before feeding her more formula. Make sure the formula is at room temperature or slightly warm, not hot, not cold.

You had the right idea trying to put baby back with the others. But, since this baby seems kind of fragile, it might be best to keep her indoors at night and let her with her siblings during the day.

When baby pigs are born, the first teat they suckle is their teat. If baby didn't get a teat, she isn't going to get food from Mom, so you'll have to feed her. Baby pigs can learn to eat from a pan at a very early age. It's easy for piglets to accidentally inhale milk (aspirate) when bottle feeding, and this can lead to pneumonia.
