Question
We have just adopted a 7 month old PBP, she's lovely, we can also have have the brother from another neighbour ( same litter ) we don't want to breed them, but we do want well behaved pigs. Is it better to stick with one. The other thing is we don't want her to be lonely when we are working. I have searched on the internet and there seems to be conflicting answers. Many many thanks, Ron & Michele

Answer
Hello,
It can be hard for older pigs to accept sharing attention and other things.  It's usually better to introduce them at a younger age.
If you are willing to have some discord at first it can be done.  They will need to establish their hierarchy by fighting several times and then things should be settled.  I don't know how large your pig is but this can be upsetting as they are strong and are very serious at the time.
It is best to let them settle it and once it is over they will be just fine.
Make sure to neuter and spay before they are put together.
If you have other pets that they already have for company you may be better off not to add another pig at this time.
