Pig in heat?

22 9:13:00

Question
I've only had my pbp for about 2 weeks now, her previous owner said she was a little over a year old and they weren't sure if she was spayed or not. As of yesterday she's started to act different. A little aggressive actually. She "roots" our legs, sometimes bites us, jumps up on us and just stares at us and sometimes makes a high pitch grinding noise, I believe with her teeth. And she's also charging our dog. Could she possibly be in heat?

Answer
Hello,
You PBP could be in heat and/or cutting teeth.
They will often have a change in personality during both of these.  PBP's will have several sets of teeth in their first few years.  This causes discomfort and they will act out.
Being in heat will also cause aggressive behavior.
Your Vet should be able to let what the problem is.
