Question
Ive had pot bellied pigs in the past but never one this young, hes adorable at 4 maybe 6 weeks old. my question is i cant seem to get him to stop screaming and the place i got him gave me feed just like the feed they gave me for our chicks, he will not eat or drink either. what do i do for my baby?

Answer
Your baby is probably not weaned. Don't let him eat the chick feed.

Start by putting some room temperature or slightly warm milk in a shallow pan and leave him with it in a quiet place. Chances are he'll figure it out. Goat milk is best.

Get pot-bellied pig food, starter pellets if you can and ordinary adult food if you can't. Start by mixing just a few pellets into the warm milk. Keep adding more and more pellets at every meal until it's a thick goo. At this point you can switch from milk to water. Then gradually reduce the amount of water until piggy is eating dry pellets. Some people prefer to feed the pellets wet, so that's an option.

When his tummy is full and he's had awhile to adjust to his new home, he should quiet down.
