Question
I have a potbelly pig that just turned 4 months old. When we got it we were told that it was a male, but it seemed more like a female. It squats when it pees, and there's no sign of male genitals. Just recently, like within the past 3 weeks I've noticed an odour that is coming from the pig. It smells like a "fart", but it's not constint. The odour will come and go throughout the day probably about 20 times. Is this a male, or is it just gas? The smell is always the same smell? Please help. And also it keeps eating my walls and tries to eat the carpet and the couch? Is there any products that I can buy that will keep the pig from nibbling on my things.. Please help asap.. Thank you

Answer
Male unneutered potbellies do smell.
I have no way to "sex" your pig.
What you feed your pig will cause gas..........dog food or some veggies.
It should only be eating potbellied pig feed.
A bored pig will eat walls.....try putting it outside.
We suggest our book, Potbellied Pig Behavior and Training" at our site, valentinesperformingpigs.com
Sounds like you could use help (we all need it at first)!
