10 week old pbp.

I have a roughly 10 week old Pbp and I realized this morning that her vagina has swelled up and I can't seem to figure out why. She uses pine pellets for her litter box,  could that be irritating her? Is she too young to be going into heat? She hasn't displayed any other symptoms,  eating and drinking fine, normal behavior etc. Thanks in advance.

I a not a veterinarian and can not make a medical diagnosis over the internet.

If she is indeed just 10 weeks old then she is a little too young to be in heat. Female pigs can have their first heat at 4 months or 16 weeks, so if she is a little older than you think, it could be heat.

It is possible the pine pellets are a problem, but not likely. I think a urinary tract infection is more likely.

I think piggy needs to see a vet. If she has an infection, she will need antibiotics. A vet will be able to tell her age for sure by looking at her teeth.
