Question
I have actually 2 questions.  The first is "do pot bellied pigs see in color or black and white?" that is because my daughter would like to know.

My question is we got a miniature pot bellied pig for my oldest daughter. I would like to know what sort things would be nice to keep the pig occupied as far as things to get for him to play with, study, examine - anything to help occupy him.  Thank you.

Answer
The color question is a very good question. So far I haven't found medical verification, but based on my observations, I think they do see some colors. Young pigs have good eyesight and learn a lot just by watching. Priscilla Valentine's pig Nellie even learned to spell!

Piglets enjoy toys that make noise. They enjoy infant toys, which can be bought quite cheaply at garage sales. They like "busy balls", which are basically pierced balls or soda bottles filled with popped corn or pellets. As the pig pushes the ball around, bits of food will fall out.

Teaching him tricks will help him learn to understand you, and you learn to understand him. The best resource for training pigs in general is Priscilla Valentines book Pot-Bellied Pig Behavior and Training. It's available from Amazon, Borders, or her website http://www.valentinesperformingpigs.com/index.html
She's a member of the Yahoo group PigInfoAndChat, and, like the other members, is always happy to answer questions about her book or pigs in general.
