Question
i have a baby dumbo rat baby he is 13weeks old around every time i huge him or he huges me he wags/shacks his tail.i dont know why he does.how can i stop it??

Answer
Hi Alice

Why would you want to stop him from wagging his tail?

You cant stop an animal from doing something that comes natural to them.
You cannot discipline a rat by punishing it or scolding him. Their
brains are not wired to comprehend these commmands.

I am not sure why you would want him to stop doing it but he is wagging his tail because he is aggravated by something that is happening at that moment.  Dogs wag their tail when they are happy.
Rats and cats wag their tail when they are agitated.

However, if you dont want to see him wag his tail and it seems to happen when you hug him, something about hugging him upsets or scares him so you may need to figure out what it is about the hugging he doesnt like.

good luck
