Rat sick?

My female 18 month old rat started losing weight last week and acting dizzy, falling over.  Last night, she had a wet spot down between her legs the size of a nickle, pale yellowish, but kinda thick and milky, I washed her with warn salty water, it came back this morning>  I am embarrassed to say that I can not afford a vet, can I buy anything over the counter to try to help her?  Please help...

SHe needs a vet.  Dont be ashamed about the vet. trust me, your not alone in this!!   It is hard to afford vet care, but there are always ways to get around this.  Ask for a loan from a friend or family member, talk to the vet about payment plans etc... you can even apply for financial aid by a service called CREDIT CARE!

She needs antibiotics right away in order to recover.  There is nothing over the counter that can help her.  I wish I had better news for you!
