A Veterinarians Integrity at question....

Question
I have a hairless rat, she's about one year old... she has a lump between her legs.  At a glance, it may appear that she is a he.  I "was" able to go to the vet... but what do you do when a veterinarian rips you off?  I am furious and stricken with grief.  I paid 300. and I'm still not clear on what I should do for her.  I can't afford the 879.11 they said it would cost for the surgery.  Does that sound right to you?  After I paid them 240. to tell me she has a Skin Mass and that there didn't appear to be any intestines in there or that there was immediate danger to her major organs at this time.  The 240. covered the Barium Suspension, Exam, the Radiograph View and Hospital Care and Recovery/ Outpatient.  They told me that they needed to keep her for a couple hours and they kept her for 7 1/2 hours.  They said they had to keep her longer because the Barium hadn't traveled throughout her body so they could do the Radiograph View.  They first came out with a figure of over 300 to do that.  I told them I didn't have that kind of money, that I had only 250. to spend for this... so they knocked off one of the Radiograph Views and the Anemic Test they were going to give her, and came up with 240. for a total.  When I was leaving the doctor told me one thing and the assistant told me another.  I don't know what to do from here.

Thank You, Patty

Answer
This vet is out of his mind and is ripping you off totally.  I would like to know what major organs are being compromised by a mammary tumor located in her genital area?

Who is this Vet?  Go private....only you and I can read the messages if  you mark them private.
