does my rat have a cold

hiya i have 2 rats and one of them is having trouble breathing through its nose and i don't know what to do leave it and see if it goes or take it to the vets and should i separate them so that the other one doesn't catch it

Keep them together, they both carry the same bacteria that can cause this respiratory infection. Rats do not catch a cold, but they do catch what is called mycoplasmosis pulmonis. To better understand what this is, please read my website about it. Every rat owner should be educated on this as it is one of the most common ailments rat suffer from.
