red soares on white rats skin

i have given the rat a bath and used a triple antibiotic cream on each sore. they look like flea bites, but does not have any fleas. Is it coming from the pine wood chips?
she is so sweet and tame i would hate to loose her to a disease

SHe should not be on the pine wood chips at all anyhow. This will cause serious respiratory infections.

Where are the sores at?  What diet is she on?
