Please help me my rat has gone from fit to critcaly Ill in an instant

Hi I am very sorry to bother you but my darling
rat pepper was totally fine earlier this evening
but after doing his usual patroling the house
routine we noticed he was very weak and
sluggish.
Obviously being worried as this is far from his
usual personality I looked him over and noticed
his testicles were a black/blue color,also upon
studying the way he was moving it is as though
he has very little feeling in his legs and is
throwing himself around for mobility.
His eyes are half shut and also very watery
and he looks very depressed.
Also whole body is extremely cold but towels
don't seem to warm him.

He is still drinking but only managing to eat
porridge.

Am am very upset and concerned about him
as he means so much to me and I will stay up
with him incase I loose him in the night if you
have any advice for me,however due to being
made redundant I will not be able to pay a vet
at all.

Please any advice would mean so much to me

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good. Any chance he may have gotten into anything (and ate something bad), or perhaps took a tumble?

It sounds as if he's having some hind-end paralysis and lack of blood circulation to his lower region. I could be completely off-kilter on that, of course, because I am no vet - but thats what it seems like to me. I would try to keep him warm, encourage him to eat and drink, and hope for the best --- and when/if you can, try to see a vet. I'm very sorry I can't help you more.
