Orphaned Mice

Hi! I have a few questions :) i have 2 orphaned field mice. i think they are about 6 days old now. my biggest problem is getting them to go to the bathroom. they will pee but i have only gotten one to poop since I've had them (3 days)! any suggestions. I've been using a warm q-tip to rub their tummy and genitals for about 30 seconds to a minute. they squeak and squirm a lot like they don't like it. what should i do? also, i cant see the mink band... are they too old to see it now?

No, you should still be able to see the milkband if they're pink; although on mice it's usually tinier than on rats and a bit harder to see. If they haven't pooped, they probably just don't have enough in there to make any! Keep feeding them often and well, and keep doing what you're doing. Good luck!
