Rat Bully

Question

My boys.
I just have a question about introductions. My boys Knuks and Cotton, Cotton is about 7 and a half weeks old now. Knuks is about 4 months old, give or take. So not to mention the age gap, Knuks is alot bigger than cotton. Hes always bullying him, doing the normal flipping him on his belly and grooming him untill Cotton squeeks his little head off. Now, other than this ( and I know its 100% normal ) I was just wondering if I should keep Cotton in his little cage untill he gets some size on him, or if hes big enough to be put in the cage full time with Knuks. Because honestly, Knuks has calmed down so much since I introduced them. He just sits and wants to be rubbed during playtime rather than hop around and chase my hand. And as much as they enjoy the time together Knuks seems almost releaved to be rid of the tiny bit of fluff that likes to climb on him like a jungle gym. Ive enclosed a cpiture, this was if I do believe the same day I brought him home. Because they got along very well right off the bat. This was little over a week ago, and  Cotton has gotten a smidge bigger, but not big enough to write home about.

Answer
I would wait for the baby to get bigger first, but continue to allow them to play together during time out of the cage for exercise. Construct a safe play area so they can be kept safe and in their own rat approved area. Instructions on on this page:

Also be sure they are kept in a nice roomy cage when they are together finally.  It seems they are in an aquarium in the photo, and if they are kept there I wanted to let you know just in case you didnt that these are very bad for their health, esp their respiratory system and also confines them so they cannot climb around or interact with the outside world.
