lil miss has a major eye problem

lil miss   I noticed yesterday it looked like my rat scratched around her eye so I cleaned it up and went on about my day. Today I look at her and her eye is dull and looks layed with a scab. Its swollen and just looks pretty nasty. I don't know what happened I don't know what's wrong and I don't know how to help her. We love our lil miss but after spending money on our dog who just got hit by a car another vet bill isn't possible right now. Please help

Probably is a scab that will heal by it's self, but is likely it could be infected. If you can't get to the vet ask a vet on this web-site. There is a "sickness" called Porphin that has red "tears" in the eyes and nose.
