rat is scratching

My female rat is scratching like she has fleas.I work for PETCO and we do sell things for mite issues.Should i buy this product?

No, that stuff is not safe no matter what it claims on the bottle. Sprays and powders cause serious problems with the rats respiratory tract.

Rats usually dont have problems with fleas, but it could be mites or lice.  Rat lice is not the same as the lice that humans get. These are wingless and dont jump.

Sometimes even diet that is high in protein can cause severe itching and scabs in rats so its a good idea to check over my site and match the symptoms to what your rat is displaying.
