Question
Hi,
Due to a lot of snow fall my local pet shop is shut and i am unable to travel not another.  My rat food is about to run out and I would like advice on what it would be best to feed them (my local supermarket is stlll open) so they can still have a balanced diet until the weather clears up.  I o have dry ferret mix, but i don't think this would be suitable due to its high level of protein  I have three elderly boys.
Many thanks
Abbie

Answer
Check out my website, Sandyscrittercity.com going to the link on proper diet for rats for a list of things to use to put together a good rat mix.  You can also feed them vegetables like peas and carrots. Frozen or canned is fine.

I wont brag that I live in southern Florida right now....LOL.....we are cold too....only 60s during the day and 40 at night. Cold for us this time of year. I dont envy anyone snowed in. My son is up in Ohio for the winter and this is his first year in the snow. He cannot remember snow because we moved from Ohio when he was just 7 and now he is almost 20. He is not real thrilled about the snow I must say.  LOL

Anyhow, hope you thaw out soon and keep those ratties toasty warm!
