Is this normal?

I just bought two female rats. One keeps sneezing but I heard that's normal seeing as I just got the first one on 2/27/08 and the 2nd girl the day after. The first one who keeps sneezing warmed up to me already however it's the 2nd one that worries. She is still skittish which I expect but last night she was acting really funny. She would itch a lot and would be sitting still but randomly jerks and runs around like as if she's scare or something. I'm across the other side of the room so I know it's not me. I think it's mites. Or is it nothing big? I'm just a little paranoid because this is my first time having rats.

Do you see any other symptoms of mites, like scabs or white nits on the end of their hair shaft? Do you notice your skittish/nervous rat has a head tilt, or does she look normal? Any loss of balance?

It could just be HER, but I'd assume there was something else going on until you rule everything out. I have a rat that twitches and does zoomies - she's just being a goofball though, and I ruled out every other possibility.
