Bleeding Toes

My rat was hurt not to long ago and i don't know how to stop it. Someone told to put Neosporin on it but I'm worried he'll get sick from licking it. Could a Small band-aid work?

 Don't bother bandaging it, it will just get chewed off.  Neosporin is fine but not really necessary; as long as the bleeding is stopped and the wound is clean it should just heal itself in a few days.  If it looks like it's getting worse, the bleeding continues, or it leaks pus, gets hot, or swells up you may need to take him to a vet.  Good luck!
