Question
I have 4 baby lovebirds that have hatched out and are now 8 weeks old.  the Daddy seems to be getting aggressive with the babies.  do I need to separate them?  I couldn't hand feed them because I work long hours, but I do spend time with them when I am home.  Should I separate the babies from the daddy.  They are starting to leave the nesting box and move around the cage some.  The mother is still feeding the babies, and is a very good mom.  He was a good dad until just lately.  Your help would be GREATLY appreciated.  thank you so much.

Answer
Hello, if theya re 8 weeks they are genrally weaned if the father is getting agressiv with them the chicks must be placed in there own cage. He also may be getting agressive because he would like another batch of eggs and is trying to shou the chicks away.
