Green cheeked conure

Hello,
I am considering getting a companion for my green cheeked conure.
I am working away from home alot and I want to avoid him from getting lonley.
I have had him for 7 years, what would you recommend getting for him?

Well I wouldn't put the new bird in the same cage as your conure just because they can fight, but you should get a bird that tends to be quiet because if you get a noisy bird, it will encourage your bird to scream. Probably an IRN or senegal would be a good match. I also would not get a baby from a pet store. Get an older bird (about the same age as your conure) at a local shelter. They'll get along better without that age difference.
